Basis is a personal design system template for websites or native apps created in Figma that utilizes features such as styles, component libraries and variants. It currently includes colors, typography, grids, shadows, icons, and buttons. More components will be implemented in the future.
Although interfaces are often designed with unique goals in mind, the basic building blocks such as color, text, and buttons will always be present. Setting up style guides, component libraries, and guidelines for implementation takes a long time. This is why I decided to create a reusable and customizable template that allows me to create accessible interfaces with efficiency.
The color system contains multiple palettes for both light and dark mode. It's flexible, extensive and customizable. Of course, there are also guidelines for color accessibility and generating color palettes.
To enable consistency and hierarchy with the use of text, this section includes a typographic scale and a variaty of text styles for both desktop and mobile. Type attributes are thouroughly documented and can be customized if needed.
A well-designed interface starts with structure. This section includes responsive grids for any screen size. Attributes such as grid-behaviour, breakpoints and column information are clearly documented.
With a total of 1140 variants, this design system includes buttons for basically every purpose. Choose mode, color, state, size, icon and more.
